Ingredients
  

For Hot Dogs:

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese for topping

For Chili Sauce:

  • 1/2 tbsp of cooking oil
  • 1 diced white onion
  • 1 lb of lean ground beef
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 minced cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp of chili powder
  • 2 tsp of smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp of ground cumin
  • 14 oz of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp of tomato paste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Heat cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent.
  • Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, and cook until browned.
  • Stir in salt, minced garlic, black pepper, chili powder, smoked paprika, and ground cumin.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and parsley. Stir everything together and bring it to a gentle boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and let the chili simmer uncovered for 2 to 3 minutes or until desired consistency is reached.
